DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene released the following statement after House Democrats voted again for a bipartisan continuing resolution to keep the government open:
“Today, House Democrats were the adults in the room. Thanks to our members, we are one step closer to ensuring essential workers will get paid, families won’t lose critical services, and the government will stay open for business.
“House Democrats helped prevent a catastrophe today, but make no mistake – this is no way to run the country. House Republicans remain dysfunctional, embracing MAGA extremism and pushing us time and again to the brink. We will hold them accountable for their chaos and failure to govern responsibly – which will cost them the majority next year.”
