The DCCC released the following statement from DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene:
“One glance at the GOP’s new proposal and it’s clear they are unconcerned with the wellbeing of everyday families. House Republicans seem determined to cause a catastrophic blow to the economy and default on our debts just to appease the far-right extremists in their caucus.
“House Republicans’ never-ending crusade to protect wealthy tax cheats from paying their fair share, cut essential programs families depend on, and repeal popular legislation that lowers energy prices and creates good-paying American jobs is the epitome of being out of touch. Every single vulnerable Republican will be held accountable for siding with the far-right and embracing an extreme MAGA agenda that puts their politics first and the people they serve last.”
