DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene shared the following statement honoring Memorial Day:
“Our servicemen and women make tremendous sacrifices for our country and our freedoms every single day. Today, we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our nation.
“When House Democrats were in the majority, we put our commitment to care for our service members into action by investing in critical legislation like the PACT Act, which has helped over a million veterans and their survivors since its passage. Generations of servicemembers gave their lives to defend our democracy – we owe it to them to honor their sacrifice in Congress by supporting our active duty troops, veterans, and the families of those who lost a loved one in the line of duty.
“We will continue to honor the bravery and dedication of our fallen service members this day and every day as House Democrats fight for a better future for all families.”
