DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene released the following statement congratulating former Navy helicopter pilot and mom of two Rebecca Bennett on her victory in tonight’s NJ-07 debate against Republican incumbent Tom Kean Jr.:
“Tonight, voters saw a clear contrast on the debate stage between a servant leader in Rebecca Bennett, who will always put the mission first to deliver for New Jersey families, and a career politician in Tom Kean Jr., who has repeatedly failed to show up for his own constituents. While Kean Jr. votes with Donald Trump for higher costs, devastating health care cuts, and a reckless war in Iran that has sent gas and diesel prices soaring, Rebecca has a plan to tackle corruption in Washington and make life more affordable for families just like her own. I look forward to welcoming Rebecca to Congress when she wins in November.”
