DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene released the following statement after the final FY24 government funding bill was passed:
“Thanks to House Democrats, our troops will be paid, life-saving research will forge ahead, quality child care for working families will stay open, and many other critical federal services millions of Americans count on will continue.
“Throughout the 118th Congress, House Republicans have pushed our nation toward an entirely avoidable government shutdown.
“The seemingly never-ending cycle of brinkmanship and crisis is dangerous and emblematic of why we need a Democratic House majority – to restore responsible governance and move forward on policies that grow our economy, help working families, and lower costs.”
