Today, DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján issued the following statement on the United States Supreme Court’s decision to uphold “one person, one vote”:
“The Supreme Court’s ruling on ‘one person, one vote’ is a victory for our democracy because our country is stronger when everyone has a seat at the table.
“Unfortunately, callous efforts by extreme conservatives to silence our country’s communities of color have become all too frequent. Local and state governments should reflect the people that live in those communities, and we applaud the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold ‘one person, one vote.’”
