DCCC Chairman Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney released the following statement celebrating International Women’s Day:
“On International Women’s Day we celebrate the hard-fought gains women around the world have made to advance equity and inclusion for themselves and their communities. We also acknowledge that the fight to ensure justice for women here at home and around the world continues today. Right now in America, women’s rights to access reproductive care, the ballot box, and equal pay for a fair day’s work are still under attack from those who would roll back our progress.
“Today, House Democrats and people of good conscience recommit themselves to challenging every barrier to women’s ability to achieve their full potential because our nation and our world are stronger when women’s voices are heard, protected, and celebrated.”
