DCCC Chairman Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney released the following statement in response to the sudden passing of AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka:
Richard Trumka will always be remembered as a champion for working people who devoted his life to advancing the labor movement. So many working Americans are better off today because of his tireless advocacy over the years. He will be missed greatly, and it’s on all of us to ensure we carry on his legacy in our continued fight for working families across the country.
