DCCC Chairwoman Bustos Names Sri Preston Kulkarni To ‘Red To Blue’ Program

“Red to Blue” is a highly competitive and battle-tested DCCC program arming top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support

DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos announced today that Sri Preston Kulkarni has been named to the DCCC’s highly competitive Red to Blue program.

Kulkarni has earned a spot on the Red to Blue program by surpassing aggressive goals for grassroots engagement, local support, campaign organization and fundraising. Beyond his record of service and demonstrated ability to build a winning campaign infrastructure, Kulkarni has an authentic message that connects with voters in Texas’ 22nd Congressional District and deep ties to the diverse communities he aims to serve.

“As the son of an immigrant and descendant of Sam Houston, Sri Preston Kulkarni embodies the future of Texas,” DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos said. “As a foreign service officer, Sri served our country overseas under presidents of both parties and brought people together to get things done and tackle our biggest challenges. After scaring Rep. Pete Olson into an early retirement with his strong grassroots campaign, Sri Preston Kulkarni is the leader who will flip this diverse and quickly-changing district from red to blue in November.”

Red to Blue is a highly competitive and battle-tested DCCC program that arms top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support to help them continue to develop strong campaigns. Additionally, through Red to Blue the DCCC provides strategic guidance, staff resources, candidate trainings and more.
