DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos Applauds Supreme Court Decision to Uphold the DACA Program

Following, the Supreme Court’s 5-4 ruling blocking President Trump’s attempt to end protections for hundreds of thousands of DREAMers living in this country, DACA recipients will be able to continue living and working in the United States.

DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos released the following statement:

“Today’s Supreme Court decision has stopped a heartless and unconstitutional attempt to throw hundreds of thousands of DREAMers living in the U.S. out of our country. DREAMers are woven into the fabric of this nation, serving as our teachers, nurses, doctors, and neighbors. They make essential contributions to our country and economy, and we will continue to fight to ensure they are here to stay. The Supreme Court has spoken, and now it is time for Mitch McConnell and Washington Republicans to come to the table and work across the aisle on a permanent fix for our immigration system and our DREAMers.”
