DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos Statement on the Anniversary of the El Paso Massacre

DCCC Chairwoman, Cheri Bustos issued the following statement on the anniversary of the El Paso Massacre:

“One year ago, a man fueled by hatred and enflamed by anti-immigrant rhetoric, attacked El Paso, Texas. Today—and every day—we must remember and honor the 23 innocent lives taken and 22 wounded in the deadliest anti-Latino massacre in recent American history.

“Now more than ever, we must stand united against these heinous acts of violence. We owe the grieving families of El Paso—and families suffering from the epidemic of gun violence across our country—to find solutions that protect Americans in their homes and communities.”
