Powered By Grassroots Enthusiasm, The DCCC outpaced July 2018 By Nearly $5 Million
Today, DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos announced that the DCCC raised more than $18.3M in July – outpacing its previous July record of $13.5 million, set in 2018. The record-breaking haul was powered by $12.7 million in grassroots donations, surpassing the DCCC’s 2018 July small-dollar haul by more than $3 million. The DCCC’s average online donation was $22 and it added more than 77,000 direct mail donors during the month of July.
The DCCC has $98M cash on hand, $25M more than it had at this point in 2018. With $226M raised for the cycle, the DCC has now raised more than it did during the entire 2016 cycle and is two months ahead of its 2018 pace.
“Our grassroots supporters know that House Democrats are the firewall against Republican attempts to rip away Americans’ health care during a deadly pandemic. That’s why everyday Americans are digging deep and doing everything they can to help us protect and expand this House Majority. And during the COVID-19 pandemic this firewall has never been more important,” DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos said.
Under Speaker Pelosi’s leadership, House Democrats have outraised their Republican counterparts at every level.
· Through June, the DCCC had a $32M cash on hand advantage over the NRCC.
· DCCC Frontline members have a 5-to-1 cash on hand over their highest raising Republican opponents.
· More than 30 Dem challengers outraised their Republican opponents in Q2.
