DCCC Goes Up on Air in Seven Districts with First Coordinated TV Ads

$1.6 million going towards TV advertising for Week 8

This week, the DCCC is going up on air in seven competitive districts across our battlefield with coordinated ads – totaling $1.6 million in spending for this week alone. The ads will be running in AL-02, MI-10, NC-01, NE-02, TX-28, TX-34, and WA-03. Across the country, voters will see ads demonstrating our candidates’ unique biographies highlighting their upbringing, dedication to hard work, and alignment with their district’s priorities; a positive Democratic agenda of lowering costs and cleaning up corruption; and a spotlight on their Republican opponents who have let the cost of living and the Trump Administration both spiral out of control.

This is the first tranche of coordinated ad spending on broadcast and cable and is in addition to the more than $737,000 spending the DCCC has already invested in coordinated digital ads across an additional four districts (AZ-06, IA-01, NC-01, and PA-10) since the start of the general election campaign.

This $1.6 million investment is the first of the DCCC’s coordinated TV ad buys of the general election, kicking off weekly investments in key battleground districts from now until November.

DCCC Executive Director Julie Merz:
“Voters are sick and tired of Republicans’ chaos, already blaming them for rising prices, and have made clear they prefer a Democratic Majority in poll after poll. Our investment strategy allows both the Committee and our campaigns to maximize resources and continue to expand our offensive map.”

Reminder: In Q2, DCCC Red to Blue candidates raised $1.3 million on average, with 20 Red to Blue candidates outraising their Republican opponents. Additionally, DCCC Frontliners boasted an average of $2.7 million cash-on-hand—nearly 5 times more than their Republican challengers.
