DCCC Has Single Best Online Fundraising Day of the Cycle

The DCCC had its single best online fundraising day of the cycle so far – raising nearly $1 million in the 24 hour period after President Biden’s announcement. Between 3pm and 11:59pm this past Sunday, the committee raised more than $1,300 per minute.

These staggering numbers include donations from all 50 states and dwarf the NRCC’s best day of the cycle by more than $600,000.

With this continued fundraising advantage, House Democrats are increasingly well-positioned to take back the majority in November. The DCCC has raised $210.8 million cycle-to-date and has $87.9 million cash-on-hand – $17.1 million more than the NRCC.

Earlier today, the DCCC released a memo on this momentum and our path back to the majority. You can read it HERE.

DCCC Spokesperson Courtney Rice:
“The enthusiasm from grassroots donors to elect a Democratic House Majority is at an all-time high. Voters want independent-minded candidates that prioritize their communities, not a group of MAGA extremists who blindly enact an extreme agenda that would be disastrous for middle class families.”

POLITICO: House Democrats’ campaign arm raised $1M after Biden announced
Ally Mutnick | July 23, 2024

  • House Democrats’ campaign arm raised nearly $1 million online in the first 24 hours after President Joe Biden announced he would not seek reelection — the group’s single best online fundraising day of the cycle.

  • Between 3 p.m. and midnight, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee raised more than $1,300 per minute, according to numbers the committee shared first with POLITICO. The average donation was $50, more than double its usual average.

  • Harris has seen a groundswell of donations of her own in the last day, and the DCCC numbers suggest that is trickling down-ballot as well.
