Today, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched its first web video ad of the 2016 election against Republican Steve Knight (CA-25), hitting the One Term Wonder for his questionable ethics and inappropriate behavior.

The video, Knightmare,” recaps Congressman Knight’s unsuccessful first nine months in office. Knight stayed in hotels on the taxpayer’s dime, failed to disclose ethics information, voted to keep the Confederate Battle Flag flying, and physically threatened a resident.

“Steve Knight has quickly become California’s worst nightmare,” said Barb Solish of the DCCC.  “Working families in the 25th Congressional District deserve to know how out-of-touch and out of control their Congressman is, and this video puts his harmful record into stark perspective.”

Script:

Think shady politics can’t get any worse? In Washington, there’s a whole new Knightmare. That’s Congressman Steve Knight.

Paying for Washington hotels with taxpayer money, failing to disclose ethics information, voting not once – but twice – to keep the confederate flag flying. And when Californians tried to hold him accountable? He physically threatened a resident.

Don’t let Congressman Knight haunt our dreams anymore.
