DCCC Invests in California Voter Registration and Turnout Ahead of June 5 Primaries

The DCCC has been investing on the ground in California since February 2017 with the goal of ultimately ensuring that California voters have the opportunity to vote for a Democrat for Congress in November. The DCCC has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in order to put organizers on the ground in key swing districts in California, register Californians to vote, and turn out Democrats in the June 5 primaries. The DCCC has also made significant direct transfers to the California Democratic Party toward these efforts.

“After more than a year of organizing in communities across the state, California Democrats deserve to have a Democrat advance to the general election so they can vote for a Democrat in November,” said Drew Godinich, DCCC spokesperson. “Washington Republicans have attacked California’s environment, health care, and raised taxes on millions of families. California Democrats need to vote in June if they want to be heard in November and finish the task by flipping these California districts blue.”
