DCCC Launches Billboard Calling Out Mike Garcia’s Extreme Stance on Abortion

In Congress, at every turn, vulnerable Republican Mike Garcia worked to undermine women’s fundamental rights. Now, as the Supreme Court’s expected decision to overturn Roe v. Wade looms, Garcia must be held accountable for his role in chipping away at women’s freedoms.

That’s why the DCCC launched a week-long billboard campaign to let California voters know exactly where Mike Garcia stands:

Despite overwhelming public support for safe, legal abortion, Mike Garcia has:

• Signed an amicus brief asking the Supreme Court to overturn Roe and Casey

• Voted against the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act

• Voted against the Women’s Health Protection Act – which would codify Roe v. Wade

• Co-sponsored the Life at Conception Act, the federal personhood bill that would ban all abortions and certain types of birth control such as IUDs

Republicans like Mike Garcia are to blame for the onslaught of attacks against a woman’s right to decide what she does with her body.
