DCCC Launches Billboard Calling Out Nevada Republicans’ Extreme Stance on Abortion

With the Supreme Court expected to overturn Roe any day now, the DCCC launched a week-long billboard campaign to let Nevada voters know that abortion rights are at stake this election.

Despite the fact that Nevadans voted to protect a woman’s right to an abortion by a two-to-one margin in 1990, GOP candidates Mark Robertson, April Becker, and Sam Peters want to roll back women’s reproductive freedoms against the will of Nevadans:

  • Mark Robertson praised Texas’ six-week abortion ban that put a bounty on anyone who helps a woman get an abortion;

  • April Becker is backed by the extremist anti-abortion group Nevada Right to Life, which wants to ban abortion without exceptions;

  • Sam Peters has pledged that if he gets to Congress, he will introduce legislation to make it harder for women to access safe, legal abortions.

DCCC spokesperson Johanna Warshaw:

“Mark Robertson’s, April Becker’s, and Sam Peters’ positions are clear: they want to ban abortion and roll back women’s reproductive rights – overturning the will of Nevadans. We will remind Nevada voters of their extreme record against a woman’s right to make personal health care decisions every day until November.”
