DCCC Launches Digital Ad Calling Out Tano Tijerina’s Shady Campaign Tactics

The DCCC launched a new digital ad campaign in Texas’ 28th Congressional District, calling out Tano Tijerina’s pay-to-play campaign tactics.

The ad comes on the heels of reporting that Tijerina helped award a taxpayer-funded contract to his campaign donor. The CEO in question donated to Tijerina’s campaign “less than a week before the meeting where Tijerina expressed his strong support” for contracting with the company.

And this isn’t Tijerina’s first offense, with Tijerina getting hit with a complaint alleging he violated campaign finance law.

The five-figure ad campaign began running last week and will reach TX-28 voters on Facebook and Instagram.

DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Time and time again Tano Tijerina has proved to TX-28 voters that he’s more interested in boosting his personal profile than serving South Texans. Voters know exactly where Tijerina’s priorities lie, that’s why they’ll reject him at the ballot box and re-elect Henry Cuellar in November.”
