DCCC Launches Digital Ad Campaign Targeting Vulnerable House GOP Who Voted for the Republican Repeal Bill in Committee

In its first digital ad campaign of the cycle, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee today announced digital ads hitting the fourteen vulnerable House Republicans who voted in Committee in favor of the reckless Republican repeal bill that has since failed. This 5-figure ad buy will begin on Monday, and will be featured on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

As members of the House Budget, Ways and Means, and Energy and Commerce Committees, these Republicans cast a critical vote to pass and move this reckless bill forward, which would have imposed an age tax on older Americans, increased premiums and out-of-pocket costs for working families and stripped healthcare from 24 million Americans.

“This targeted ad campaign makes clear that every House Republican who voted in committee for this devastating Republican repeal bill will be held accountable from now through Election Day. Republicans knowingly voted for a bill to raise premiums and deductibles, slap an age tax on older folks, and rip insurance away from 24 million hardworking Americans. It’s critical that voters know where their representative stood on this legislation,” said DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján.

Specifically, the DCCC ads will be geo-targeted and featured on YouTube pre-roll, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, targeting swing voters 35 years and older, grassroots activists in the districts, and those that have engaged with the topic of “healthcare” on social media.
