Central New Yorkers will see what critical programs that Brandon Williams voted to cut
On Thursday, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched www.GOPVotedToDefault.com, a new microsite highlighting the extreme and painful spending cuts Brandon Williams voted for as part of their ‘Default on America Act.’
The increasingly vulnerable Republican sided with extremists to hold our economy hostage and enact cruel cuts to programs that keep Americans safe, secure, and healthy. On top of the dangerous cuts, the ‘Default on America Act’ would trigger a job-killing recession, gut Americans’ hard-earned retirement savings, and increase unemployment.
The new microsite allows central New Yorkers to explore how Williams’ vote would negatively affect their family and community.
Over the next 17 months, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee will continue to hold Williams accountable to ensure central New Yorkers know his false promises at home do not match his actions on Capitol Hill.
