Nebraskans will see what critical programs that Bacon voted to cut
On Thursday, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched www.GOPVotedToDefault.com, a new microsite highlighting the extreme and painful spending cuts Don Bacon voted for as part of their ‘Default on America Act.’
Bacon sided with extremists to hold our economy hostage and enact cruel cuts to programs that keep Americans safe, secure, and healthy. On top of the dangerous cuts, the ‘Default on America Act’ would trigger a job-killing recession, gut Americans’ hard-earned retirement savings, and increase unemployment.
The new microsite allows Nebraskans to explore how Bacon’s vote would negatively affect their family and community.
Over the next 17 months, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee will continue to hold Don Bacon accountable to ensure Nebraskans know his false promises at home do not match his actions on Capitol Hill.
