South Floridians will see what critical programs that María Elvira Salazar voted to cut
On Thursday, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched www.GOPVotedToDefault.com, a new microsite highlighting the extreme and painful spending cuts María Elvira Salazar voted for as part of their ‘Default on America Act.’
The increasingly vulnerable Republican sided with extremists to hold our economy hostage and enact cruel cuts to programs that keep Americans safe, secure, and healthy. On top of the dangerous cuts, the ‘Default on America Act’ would trigger a job-killing recession, gut Americans’ hard-earned retirement savings, and increase unemployment.
The new microsite allows South Flordians to explore how Salazar’s vote would negatively affect their family and community.
Over the next 17 months, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee will continue to hold Salazar accountable to ensure South Floridians know her false promises at home do not match her actions on Capitol Hill.
