On Thursday, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched www.GOPVotedToDefault.com, a new microsite highlighting the extreme and painful spending cuts vulnerable House Republicans voted for as part of their ‘Default on America Act.’
31 vulnerable House Republicans sided with extremists to hold our economy hostage and enact cruel cuts to programs that keep Americans safe, secure, and healthy. On top of the dangerous cuts, the ‘Default on America Act’ would trigger a job-killing recession, gut Americans’ hard-earned retirement savings, and increase unemployment.
The new microsite allows Americans from coast to coast to explore how their Congressperson’s vote would negatively affect their family and community.
Over the next 17 months, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee will continue to hold House Republicans accountable to ensure voters know their Congressperson’s false promises at home do not match their actions on Capitol Hill.
