Californians will see what critical programs that Kim and Steel voted to cut
On Thursday, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched www.GOPVotedToDefault.com, a new microsite highlighting the extreme and painful spending cuts Young Kim and Michelle Steel voted for as part of their ‘Default on America Act.’
Kim and Steel sided with extremists to hold our economy hostage and enact cruel cuts to programs that keep Americans safe, secure, and healthy. On top of the dangerous cuts, the ‘Default on America Act’ would trigger a job-killing recession, gut Americans’ hard-earned retirement savings, and increase unemployment.
The new microsite allows Californians to explore how Kim and Steel’s vote would negatively affect their family and community.
Over the next 17 months, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee will continue to hold Young Kim and Michelle Steel accountable to ensure Californians know their false promises at home do not match their actions on Capitol Hill.
