Today the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched www.HouseRepublicanPriceHike.com, a new interactive tool that shows Americans just how much more they are paying for everyday goods under House Republicans’ control.
House Republicans have failed to deliver on their promise to lower prices as costs have soared and Americans are paying more than ever. Instead of helping families make ends meet, House Republicans have passed legislation to raise costs, cut health care, and eliminate food assistance for working families. All to pay for tax breaks for the wealthiest few.
HouseRepublicanPriceHike.com allows Americans explore how Republicans’ extreme agenda is costing them on every day items at the grocery store. Users can add groceries to their cart and see just how much more they are paying at the register before sharing the receipt via text or social media. The new tool is launching just as millions of Americans shop for their BBQs and cookouts ahead of the long Fourth of July weekend and right before Trump’s sweeping tariffs are expected to hit, which could lead to even more high prices and sticker shock for working families.
Over the next 16 months, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee will continue to hold House Republicans accountable for their broken promises and failure to lower costs.
