DCCC Launches Mobile Billboard Campaign Targeting Monica De La Cruz Over Her Cruel Cuts to Food Assistance

DCCC mobile billboard calls out De La Cruz for taking food off the plates of Texans

Today, the DCCC is launching a new mobile billboard campaign holding Monica De La Cruz accountable for her cruel cuts to food aid that has led to more than 600,000 Texans – more than 300,000 of them children – losing critical nutrition assistance as rising grocery costs continue to be a driving source of the affordability challenges facing everyday Americans.

De La Cruz proudly voted for the Big, Ugly Bill, which included a cut of $187 billion to nutrition assistance.

This billboard campaign comes ahead of the anniversary of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) on August 31.

DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
Texans are struggling to keep up with sky-high grocery costs because of Monica De La Cruz’s broken promises, and the DCCC is holding her accountable for her betrayal. Instead of helping folks back home feed their families, De La Cruz decided to make massive cuts to nutrition assistance, taking food off the table of millions of hardworking families – just so they could pay for tax breaks for her billionaire backers.”
