DCCC Launches Mobile Billboard Campaign Targeting Vulnerable House Republicans Over Their Cruel Cuts to Food Assistance

DCCC calls out five vulnerable House Republicans for taking food off the dinner plates of millions of American families

Today, the DCCC is launching a new mobile billboard campaign holding vulnerable House Republicans accountable for their cruel cuts to food aid that has led to 4.5 million Americans – over 1 million of them children – losing critical nutrition assistance as rising grocery costs continue to be a driving source of the affordability challenges facing everyday Americans.

Each of these Republicans voted for the Big, Ugly Bill, which included a cut of $187 billion to nutrition assistance.

Voters will see the mobile billboards in the following battleground districts across the country ahead of next week’s anniversary of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP):

  • AZ-06, Juan Ciscomani
  • C0-08, Gabe Evans
  • NY-17, Mike Lawler
  • PA-07, Ryan Mackenzie
  • TX-15, Monica De La Cruz

DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“Americans are struggling to keep up with sky-high grocery costs because of Republicans’ broken promises, and Democrats are holding them accountable for their betrayal. Instead of helping folks back home feed their families, these vulnerable House Republicans decided to make massive cuts to nutrition assistance, taking food off the table of millions of hardworking families – just so they could pay for tax breaks for their billionaire backers.”
