DCCC Launches National Ad Campaign Holding House Republicans Accountable for Rising Back to School Prices

National ad buy targets Latino, Black, and AANHPI voters in key GOP-held districts

As working parents send their kids back to school, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is announcing a four-figure ad buy in 11 of the most competitive Republican-held districts across the country, focused on communicating to Latino, Black, and AANHPI voters that House Republicans are to blame for the rising back to school prices families are facing this year.

The digital ads, which began running over the Labor Day weekend on Meta in English and Spanish, call out vulnerable House Republicans for backing the reckless tariffs that directly made back-to-school shopping more expensive.

Rather than give their constituents any relief from high costs, vulnerable House Republicans voted to allow reckless tariffs to continue raising costs, and passed their own Big, Ugly Law that is expected to cause foodutility, and health care costs to skyrocket so that the wealthiest few can get a massive tax break.

The digital ads are running in:

  • AZ-06
  • CA-22
  • CA-40
  • CA-41
  • CO-08
  • FL-27
  • NE-02
  • NJ-07
  • PA-10
  • TX-15
  • VA-02

DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“Back to school shopping is hard enough on working families, yet House Republicans are making things even harder by backing reckless tariffs that are raising costs, making back to school shopping more expensive. It’s clear House Republicans are failing hard-working Latino, Black, and Asian American families, and the DCCC is making sure battleground voters across the country know who they can hold accountable for these higher prices.”
