| Today, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) announced a nationwide digital ad campaign laying the blame for rising gas prices squarely at Republicans’ feet. The six-second ads will run on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and are geotargeted around gas stations in these competitive districts.
The campaign will run in all 44 of the DCCC’s Districts in Play, making clear that House Republicans’ failure to do anything to prevent rising gas prices – on top of increasing bills on everything else – will be an anchor for them in the midterms.
DCCC Communications Director Courtney Rice:
“Another day, another broken promise from Trump and House Republicans. Now, when voters fill up at the pump, they’ll have yet another reminder that D.C. Republicans are squarely to blame for the price of gas, and everything else, being too damn high.”
Reminder: The DCCC has been hitting Republicans all cycle for their broken promises to lower costs on Day One, including rising food costs, health care costs, and utility costs, as well as a website in which voters can track just how much this Republican trifecta is raising costs.
