McCormick won’t condemn Marjorie Taylor Greene, even as Washington Republicans break their silence
Today the DCCC launched “Silent Rich,” a new ad highlighting GA-07 Republican nominee Rich McCormick’s refusal to denounce a racist Georgia Republican who is being rebuked by Democrats and Republicans alike.
Either Rich McCormick agrees with Marjorie Taylor Greene’s hateful racism, or he’s too scared of backlash from his own shrinking base to stand up against a fellow Georgia Republican.
The ad is targeted to Black voters and white college-educated women across GA-07. “Silent Rich” will run on YouTube starting today.
“Rich McCormick made his decision: he’s standing with a Klan-linked QAnon conspiracy theorist simply because she’s a fellow Georgia Republican,” DCCC Spokesman Avery Jaffe said. “Extremism is on the ballot in Georgia from top to bottom. If Silent Rich can’t stand up to his party now, there’s no way he’ll be an independent voice for Georgians in Congress.”
