DCCC Launches New Ad – ‘Work For’ – Showing How Congressman Terry Kept his Pay During the Shutdown

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee today released a new television ad in Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District. The ad, “Work For,” highlights how Congressman Terry forgot why Nebraskans sent him to Washington, by voting to shut down the government and keep his paycheck. The ad comes on the anniversary of Congressman Terry saying that he was “dang straight” going to keep his paycheck during the shutdown to pay for his “nice house.” It starts running today.

SCRIPT OF DCCC IE AD “Work For”:

[HELEN]  All the bickering from the politicians gets old.

But I thought Lee Terry was different.  Turns out he’s not.

When Lee Terry voted to shut down the government, it really bothered me.

And when he refused to give up his own government pay during the shutdown….I knew he’d forgotten why we sent him there.

Sixteen years in Washington for Lee Terry is long enough.
