DCCC Launches Paid Twitter Campaign to #DefendDACA & Mobilize DREAMers and DACA Recipients

On the Anniversary of DACA and less than a month before the deadline that Republican Attorneys General gave President Trump to rescind DACA, the DCCC is launching a new Twitter campaign in several of the nation’s most competitive districts with notable Latino populations to encourage people, especially DACA recipients and DREAMers, to mobilize and organize in their communities in order to defeat House Republicans at the ballot box in 2018.

The paid Twitter campaign will target the following Congressional Districts: Carlos Curbelo (FL-26), Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25), Will Hurd (TX-23), Mike Coffman (CO-06), Martha McSally (AZ-02), Jeff Denham (CA-10), David Valadao (CA-21), and Steve Knight (CA-25).

The Twitter ads will direct individuals to sign up to help with the DCCC’s efforts to elect more Democrats that will champion comprehensive immigration reform.

“This digital campaign comes at a critical time for the nation, as House Republicans continue to play politics with future of hardworking immigrant communities,” said Javier Gamboa of the DCCC. “The fate of DREAMers and DACA recipients is at risk as long as Republicans control the House, and these ads will help us build a coalition of DREAMers and DACA recipients who are motivated to elect more Democrats in the 2018 midterms.”
