| Today, the DCCC is launching a new billboard campaign holding vulnerable House Republicans accountable for soaring health insurance costs being unleashed on millions of hardworking Americans, including their own constituents.
For months, vulnerable House Republicans have made empty promises to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits, but have refused to sign on to a common-sense proposal to extend the credits for three years. Polling consistently shows Americans want the tax credits extended and that Republicans will be blamed if they expire.
These same Republicans voted for Trump’s Big, Ugly Law, which represents the largest cut to Medicaid in American history to fund massive tax breaks for billionaires. Hospitals, nursing homes, and community-based health clinics are at-risk of shutting down thanks to these cuts, with some already announcing their closure.
