DCCC Launches “The Congress Who Stole Health Care” Billboard Campaign

DCCC calls out eight vulnerable House Republicans ahead of the holidays for the GOP health care crisis

Today, the DCCC is launching a new billboard campaign holding vulnerable House Republicans accountable for soaring health insurance costs being unleashed on millions of hardworking Americans, including their own constituents.

For months, vulnerable House Republicans have made empty promises to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits, but have refused to sign on to a common-sense proposal to extend the credits for three years. Polling consistently shows Americans want the tax credits extended and that Republicans will be blamed if they expire.

These same Republicans voted for Trump’s Big, Ugly Law, which represents the largest cut to Medicaid in American history to fund massive tax breaks for billionaires. Hospitals, nursing homes, and community-based health clinics are at-risk of shutting down thanks to these cuts, with some already announcing their closure.

See samples of the billboards below:

Voters will see the digital and mobile billboards in the following battleground districts across the country:

  • AZ-06, Juan Ciscomani
  • CA-22, David Valadao
  • IA-01, Mariannette Miller-Meeks
  • IA-03, Zach Nunn
  • NY-17, Mike Lawler
  • PA-07, Ryan Mackenzie
  • PA-08, Rob Bresnahan
  • VA-02, Jen Kiggans

DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“Vulnerable House Republicans are going full ‘grinch’ with cruel cuts to health care and their refusal to deliver lower costs for hardworking Americans. The Republican health care crisis will be the defining issue in the 2026 midterms, and the DCCC will hold the phony moderate Republicans accountable for doing nothing to fix it.”
