DCCC Posts Best December Fundraising Numbers In Committee History

In 2019, The DCCC Outraises 2017 By Nearly $20 Million

Amid an awkward silence from House Republicans on fourth quarter fundraising, the DCCC announced it raised $14.3 million in December – its largest December fundraising haul in committee history. That record-breaking sum includes $6.6 million raised from grassroots donors – with an average online donation of $18.

The $124.7 million raised in 2019 bests our previous off-year record by nearly $20 million.

“These numbers show exactly how excited grassroots donors are about Democrats’ work to help Americans from all walks of life and from every corner of our nation,” DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos said. “We outworked, outhustled, and outraised Republicans throughout 2019. Our record fundraising is yet another example of House Democrats’ strong position entering 2020.”

The DCCC raised:

  • $35.5 million for the fourth quarter
  • $59.6 million from grassroots donations in 2019
  • With an average online donation of $17

As of November, the DCCC outraised the NRCC for 11 straight months of 2019. The DCCC also raised $33 million more dollars and had $18 million cash on hand than the NRCC.
