DCCC Raises Over $8 Million in January, Breaking a Record for First Month of Off-Year

One month into a GOP majority, voters are ready to put Democrats back in charge

The DCCC reported raising over $8 million in January, a record for January of an off-year. House Democrats are starting off the 2024 election cycle strong with voters on their side, and this surge in momentum brings the DCCC’s cash on hand to $17.2 million.

Over the past month, we have seen House Republicans empower far-right extremists, pass abortion restrictions, use the full faith and credit of the United States as a bargaining chipfloat plans to cut Social Security and Medicare, vote to protect wealthy tax cheats and increase the deficit by $114 billion, and prioritize MAGA-led political investigations.

“Voters do not want representatives who are at the mercy of far-right extremists and an agenda that puts the people they represent last,” said DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene. “These strong fundraising numbers are a testament to the clear contrast between extreme House Republicans and House Democrats who are united around our shared values, capable of leading, and committed to getting things done for the American people.”
