DCCC Red to Blue Co-Chairs and Reps. Morgan McGarvey, Lauren Underwood, and Jason Crow released the following statement after Democrats regained a governing majority in the House of Representatives:
“Voters across America are fed up with Republicans’ broken promises, higher costs, and a government that has prioritized self-enrichment over delivering for the people they’re supposed to serve. Communities everywhere elected Democrats to change that and put them first. Our candidates won in communities of every kind across the country – from Harris-won districts to districts Trump won by 18 points. As DCCC Recruitment, and then Red to Blue, Co-Chairs, we were proud to recruit, guide, and work with our incredible cohort of 46 Red to Blue candidates who reflect America and put service first-firefighters, ministers, mayors, veterans, teachers, farmers, union leaders, law enforcement, and doctors. These leaders are deeply ingrained in their communities and built broad coalitions by speaking to the issues that matter most to working families: lowering costs, cleaning up corruption, and finally bringing back a governing majority that prioritizes hardworking families, not the billionaire class. We look forward to welcoming so many of them to Congress and fighting for a more affordable America, together.”
