DCCC Releases Annotated Op-Ed Calling Out Curbelo & Bush’s Harmful Policy Agenda

Governor Jeb Bush‘s presidential campaign recently released a policy agenda that cuts Medicare, raises the retirement age, and proposes countless more anti-working family policies. With this release, it is no surprise that Congressman Carlos Curbelo has already penned an op-ed praising what he calls Gov. Bush’s “policy-driven campaign.”

Despite reports of trouble for Bush’s presidential campaign, Congressman Curbelo continues to stand by Bush, reiterating his support for Bush earlier this week in the Washington Post. In an annotated version of Curbelo’s recent op-ed praising Gov. Bush, the DCCC reveals the hypocrisy and irresponsibility of Curbelo’s missive in support of Gov. Bush’s reckless policy agenda.

“Despite Jeb Bush’s walk back on his women’s health attack and his anti-immigrant ‘misstatements,’ Congressman Curbelo is still aligned with Gov. Bush’s bad policy,” said Jermaine House of the DCCC. “If cutting programs critical to the survival of seniors, students, and working families is Congressman Curbelo’s definition of ‘policy driven,’ then South Florida voters deserve to know the truth about his and Governor Bush’s agenda.”
