DCCC Releases First TV Ad in KS-02: “Bullsh*t”

The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for Kansas’ 2nd Congressional District, “Bullsh*t,” highlighting the corruption in Washington that’s costing Kansan families.

In the ad, Army veteran and southeast Kansas rancher Don Coover calls out the bull in Washington. He highlights how Republican incumbent Derek Schmidt took money from drug companies and then voted to make prescriptions cost more, took corporate cash and handed massive corporations huge tax breaks, and voted to protect predators by keeping the Epstein files secret.

The ad, the first to run in KS-02 from the DCCC and the Coover campaign, is airing in Kansas City today. It is part of the committee’s coordinated spending in key battleground districts.

The ad comes as a new DCCC poll finds Coover within the margin of error, trailing Schmidt just 46% to 49% in a district Donald Trump won by 20 points. Yesterday, Inside Elections moved the race in Coover’s direction. Republicans are clearly worried: they brought Donald Trump to Kansas last week and sent JD Vance to Topeka on Monday to prop up Schmidt’s sinking campaign.
