The DCCC released its first TV ad in the race for KS-03, “Company,” highlighting Amanda Adkins’ decades-long career as a top adviser to disgraced former governor Sam Brownback.
As a longtime adviser to Brownback, Adkins was deeply involved in executing his disastrous agenda – including passing tax giveaways to the rich that decimated Kansas schools. Thanks to the Adkins-Brownback experiment, teachers were laid off, schools were forced to close early, class sizes grew, and test scores dropped. Despite this, Adkins called Brownback an “incredible governor” and personally contributed over $2,500 to his re-election campaign.
The ad – the first to run in KS-03 from the DCCC IE – is airing in Kansas City beginning today and is part of the committee’s previously announced investments in key battleground districts.
