The DCCC released its first TV ad in the race for Maine’s 2nd Congressional District, “Counting On,” highlighting how Austin Theriault is prioritizing his extreme agenda over Mainers’ jobs, including those at Bath Iron Works.
On the campaign trail, Theriault admitted he would have sided with chaotic Republican extremists to shut down the federal government and vote against a budget that included a $4.5 billion contract for major local employer Bath Iron Works and funding for LIHEAP, which helps low-income Mainers heat their homes in the winter.
The ad – the first to run in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District from the DCCC IE – is airing in the Bangor, Portland, and Presque Isle media markets beginning today and is part of the committee’s previously announced investments in key battleground districts.
