DCCC Releases First TV Ad in NC-09: “Corrupt”

The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District, “Corrupt,” highlighting corruption in Washington that’s costing North Carolinian families.

The ad highlights how NRCC Chair Richard Hudson, one of the biggest recipients of big pharmaceutical dollars, voted to jack up drug costs and double health care premiums for North Carolina families.

The ad – the first to run in NC-09 from the DCCC and the Ojeda campaign – is airing in Greensboro beginning tomorrow and is part of the committee’s coordinated spending in key battleground districts.

The ad comes as a recent poll finds NC-09 a dead heat. Hudson is now forcing the NRCC to spend in his race to bail out his own struggling campaign, pulling resources meant for neighboring battleground races. Earlier this month, The Washington Sun reported Hudson’s campaign reserved more than $200,000 in TV ads in a district Donald Trump won by 15 points. Recent FEC reports show that Hudson increased his advertising spend to nearly half a million dollars.
