DCCC Releases First TV Ad in NY-19: “Sick”

The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for New York’s 19th District, “Sick,” highlighting Josh Riley’s fight in Congress to lower health care costs and ensure insurance and drug companies are putting patients over their own profits.

In Congress, Riley has worked to protect health care access for Upstate families and hold insurance companies accountable across the region: demanding answers from insurance giants after they attempted to cut coverage in rural communities and fighting to ensure the money Upstate New Yorkers pay in premiums goes toward their care, not to corporate profits.

The ad – the first to run in NY-19 from the DCCC and Josh Riley for Congress – is airing in the Albany media market beginning today and is part of the committee’s coordinated spending in key battleground districts.

“SICK”
Transcript:

“Every parent knows the feeling – a high fever, a stressful emergency room trip, a sick family member.

In those moments, you’re not thinking about the cost, you’re thinking about the person you love.

That’s why I’m fighting the insurance and drug companies in Congress.

To lower costs and make sure the care you need doesn’t get denied just so corporations can make more money.

Because whether it’s your family or mine, nobody should go broke taking care of the people they love.

I’m Josh Riley, and I approve this message.”
