| The DCCC released two new TV ads in the race for AZ-06, “The Truth” and “Town Hall,” both of which highlight Marine Corps veteran JoAnna Mendoza’s fight to lower costs for families – not for billionaires.
“The Truth” calls out Juan Ciscomani for telling lies about Mendoza’s record to distract from his cost-hiking agenda, including his votes to protect reckless tariffs and gut Arizonans’ health care to pay for tax cuts for billionaires. Ciscomani has been repeatedly called out by fact checkers for spreading false information about Mendoza.
“Town Hall” highlights Mendoza’s background growing up on Medicaid, being the daughter of farmworkers, and serving in the military for twenty years. The ad also draws attention to Ciscomani’s vote for the largest cuts to Medicaid in history.
The ads – the first to run on TV in AZ-06 from the DCCC and Mendoza For Congress campaign – are airing in the Tucson media market beginning today and are part of the committee’s coordinated spending in key battleground districts.
Transcript:
More lies from spineless Juan Ciscomani.
The truth: Ciscomani voted for Trump’s tariffs, costing Arizona families thousands.
And when his billionaire donors wanted a tax cut, Ciscomani cut our health care to do it, sending our costs soaring.
JoAnna Mendoza grew up struggling.
As a mom and a Marine, she swore an oath to protect our families.
That’s why she’ll fight to protect our health care and lower taxes for you, not billionaires.
Fighting for Arizona, always.
Transcript:
Growing up, my parents were farm workers.
Like many Arizonans, hard work didn’t come with health insurance.
As a kid, I used Medicaid/AHCCCS for my health care.
That health care allowed me to serve my country for 20 years.
Arizonans work hard to provide for their families, but politicians are making that nearly impossible.
I’m running for Congress because I’m going to fight every day to lower costs and make health care affordable for the people of this district.
