The DCCC released two new TV ads in the race for Colorado’s Eighth District. The first, “Your Corner,” highlights Manny Rutinel’s working class background and Gabe Evans’ record of voting 100% of the time with Trump to hurt working Coloradans. The second, “Sin Ventajas,” is a Spanish version of Rutinel’s opening ad, “Third Base,” which focuses on Rutinel’s fight to lower costs for families.
The son of a single mom, Rutinel grew up on Medicaid – the same program Evans voted to gut in order to pay for tax breaks for billionaires. Evans also voted with Trump to jack up Coloradans’ health insurance premiums, greenlight a reckless war in Iran, and protect price-hiking tariffs that are raising costs on families and small businesses.
The ads – the first to run in CO-08 from the DCCC and Manny Rutinel for Congress – are airing in the Denver market beginning today and are part of the committee’s coordinated spending in key battleground districts.
