Script of DCCC IE Ad “Disaster”
MAN: I supported Lee Terry in the past, but I can’t vote for him this time.
WOMAN: Lee Terry voted for the government shutdown, but he refused to give up his salary. He said he couldn’t give up his pay because he had a nice house and kid in college.
WOMAN 2: We all have bills to pay, too, and I don’t make $170,000 like Lee Terry does. I think he’s forgotten that he’s supposed to work for us.
MAN 2: Maybe that’s what happens when you spend too long in Washington.Lee Terry’s been there 16 years. That’s long enough.
