DCCC Releases New Ad – ‘Medicare’ – About Dan Benishek Increasing Medicare Costs on Michigan Seniors

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is launching its first television ad in Michigan’s 1st Congressional District, with the story of a Michigan waitress describing how she would have to pay thousands more a year under Congressman Benishek’s plan to end the Medicare benefits for Michigan’s future retirees while giving millionaires another big tax break. The ad begins running today.

Script of DCCC IE Ad “Medicare”

My name is Kelleysue Munro. I bartend and waitress in Marquette, Michigan.

I’ve been paying Medicare out of my paycheck since I was sixteen years old.

Dan Benishek voted to end guaranteed Medicare benefits for future retirees.

I’d have to pay thousands more a year.

He would use the money to give millionaires another big tax break.

I don’t think it’s fair that after 32 years of  paying into Medicare, Dan Benishek would try to take it away
