The DCCC released a new coordinated TV ad in the race for New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District, “Good to Be Here,” highlighting how Washington has been good to career politician Tom Kean Jr. – but his votes haven’t been good for New Jersey.
The ad highlights how Kean Jr. has traded millions of dollars worth of stocks during his time in Congress while voting to protect his own profits. And as Kean Jr.’s portfolio goes up, prices have risen for New Jersey families as a direct result of his votes in favor of continuing the Iran war and gutting health care.
The ad – the third to run in NJ-07 from the DCCC and the Bennett campaign – is airing in the New York media market beginning today and is part of the committee’s coordinated spending in key battleground districts.
Transcript:
VO: Washington’s good for Tom Kean.
After millions in trades, he’s wealthier than ever.
But it’s not just great stock tips
Kean votes to protect his profits.
Voted for billions in data center tax breaks while trading data center stocks.
Voted for reckless wars, sending gas, groceries, and his defense stocks sky high.
And when our premiums spiked, so did his insurance stocks.
Congress is great for Tom Kean.
But Kean in Congress?
Not great for us.
