DCCC Releases New TV Ad in CA-22: “ Struggling”

The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for CA-22, “Struggling/Primero,” highlighting in English and Spanish how David Valadao has repeatedly voted against the interests of working families.

The ad specifically points to Valadao’s troubling history of voting against capping insulin costsagainst extending COVID relief to families in need, and even against raising the minimum wage for the workers who need it most.

While David Valadao has done everything in his power to stop Valley families from getting the resources they deserve, Assemblyman Rudy Salas was hard at work on behalf of the Central Valley. Salas has won overtime pay for farm workers and, unlike Valadao, Rudy voted to lower the costs of lifesaving medication. Voters in the 22nd district deserve real results from a proven fighter like Salas, not self-interested insider Valadao.

The ad – the third to run in CA-22 from the DCCC IE – is airing in Bakersfield and Fresno beginning today and is part of the committee’s previously announced investments in key battleground districts.
