DCCC Releases New TV Ad in CO-05 Featuring Family of Jeffrey Epstein Victim: “Virginia”

Virginia’s family calls out Jeff Crank, their congressman, for refusing to meet with them and voting against releasing the Epstein files

The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for Colorado’s Fifth District, “Virginia,” calling out Republican Jeff Crank for refusing to meet with the family of Virginia Giuffre, a victim of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse who died by suicide last year, who are Crank’s constituents.

Virginia’s brother and sister-in-law, Sky and Amanda Roberts, pleaded for a meeting with Crank, their member of Congress, so they could advocate for releasing the Epstein files. After no response from their supposed “representative,” Sky and Amanda resorted to protesting outside of Crank’s office to try and get his attention. In the ad, Sky and Amanda call Crank out for repeatedly voting to block efforts to release the Epstein files. Crank also refused to sign onto a bipartisan discharge petition that successfully forced a vote on the Epstein files.

The ad – running in CO-05 from the DCCC and Killin for Colorado campaign – is a six figure buy airing in the El Paso media market beginning today. It is part of the committee’s coordinated spending in key battleground districts.

Transcript:

My sister Virginia was one of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims.

She spent her life trying to expose the truth.

After she died, we promised to carry on her fight.

But our own Congressman Jeff Crank refused to meet with us.

Then, when he had the chance to expose the truth and release the Epstein files, he repeatedly voted to cover them up.

Virginia deserved better.

Jeff Crank covered up Epstein’s crimes to protect Donald Trump.

He has no business being in Congress.

Recent polling shows a tight race for CO-05, the fastest-trending Democratic seat in the country. Four independent race raters – Cook Political Report, Inside Elections, Sabato’s Crystal Ball, and Fox News – all shifted CO-05 towards Democrats in the last month – a testament to Killin’s surging momentum.
